Virginia Hayes-Leggett, 92, of Fairmont, NC, passed away on January 28, 2023 peacefully.
She was born on May 3 1930 in Dillon County, SC.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lenner Leggett; her parents, Gurney Hayes and Mary Caulk-Hayes; her brothers: Robert Hayes, R.C. Hayes, Carlyle Hayes, Glenn Hayes, Wade Hayes, Marion Hayes, and Don Hayes; and her sisters, Oneida Simmons and Martha Lois Barfield.
She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Leggett Barnes (McKinnon) and Barbara Leggett Townsend (Joe); her grandchildren: Chris Barnes (Angel), Ryan Barnes (Jessie), Kristie Townsend, and Lauren Altman (Gary); her great-grandchildren: Savannah, Morgan, Jake, Connor, Anna, and Grady; and her sisters: Mary Francis Pierce, Jeanette Herring, and Linda Watford.
