OBITUARY for Elodie Roger Credeur
January 17, 1926 - May 10, 2017
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Elodie Roger Credeur, 91, who died on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Maurice surrounded by her family.
Entombment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum in Scott.
Most Reverend Michael Jarrell, Bishop Emeritus, Diocese of Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Kristie Montoucet and Taylor Guidry. Gift Bearers will be Kristie Montoucet, Taylor Guidry and Luke Guidry.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Sandra Montoucet and her son in law, Jack Montoucet of Scott; granddaughter, Kristie Montoucet and two great grandchildren, Taylor and Luke Guidry.
She was preceded in death by husband, Paul Irving Credeur on May 5, 1995; parents, Louis and Estelle Richard Roger; three sisters, Willie Mae Breaux, Eumae LeBlanc and Loumis Forrestier and two brothers, Felix and Ernest Roger.
Pallbearers will be Jack Montoucet, Virgil Montoucet, Terry Montoucet, Shane Boudreaux, Vance Boudreaux, Lance Boudreaux, Bob Boudreaux and Kenneth Credeur. Serving as Honorary pallbearer will be Luke Guidry.
Elodie was a blessing to all her family as she was dearly loved. Her passions included her ironing, washing clothes, cooking and Cajun dancing. A devout Catholic, she enjoyed reciting her Rosary multiple times a day. She was a Member of the Ladies Altar Society and an Auxiliary Member of VFW Post 9822. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all and will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The Credeur and Montoucet Family would like to extend a special Thank You to Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehab Facility for all their support, assistance and dedication in Elodie's well being in her time of need.
A Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's SCOTT Location, prayed by Jack and Kristie Montoucet.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 3:00PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 8:00 AM until time of services.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all and will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved her.
