Eddie Watterman, 80, 1715 S. Cypress St., died Tuesday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Third Presbyterian Church. The Rev. E. D. Pappadackis will officiate. Burial will be in the Bancroft (Neb.) Cemetery under the direction of the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside. Mr. Watterman was born May 20, 1902, at Bancroft. He farmed at Bancroft before moving to Omaha in 1938. He came to Sioux City in 1941. He married Bernadine E. Hartline June 8, 1938. He worked for Morningside Lumber Co., Cashway and American Equipment Co. He operated a fruit and vegetable market in Morningside for many years. Mr. Watterman was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife; one brother, Henry Waterman of Lawton, Iowa, and four sisters, Mrs. Lena Berner of Thurston, Neb., Minnie Watterman of Wisner, Neb, Mrs. Lillie Anderson of Lombard, Ill. and Mrs. Linda Miller of Nickerson, Neb.
