John Kevin Keller, 50, passed away peacefully on January 19th, 2023 in Blackville, SC following a short illness.
A native of Beaufort, SC, John was the youngest son of the late William "Bill" and Carolyn "Pat" Keller.
A life-long resident of Aiken, John attended Mead Hall Elementary School and was the starting point guard on the St. Thaddeus basketball team. He graduated Aiken High School in 1990 and attended Winthrop University, his mother's alma mater, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Following his graduation, he returned to Aiken and, inspired by his father, began a career in the construction industry as a framer. Over his lifetime, John played a critical part in building many homes in Aiken.
John's unassuming and kind nature made him a quick friend to many. He would always try to end conversations with a small joke and a smirk on his face. He enjoyed all sports, especially stock car racing and football. While a private person, John dearly loved his family and surrounded himself at home with pictures of loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents of Aiken, SC, his uncle Rick Walsh of Woodstock, GA, and his aunt Margie Herron of Columbia, SC.
He was survived by his brother Doug (Lisa) Keller of Stafford, VA; two aunts, Sandra Walsh of Woodstock, GA and Janice Herron of Aiken; and his first cousins Brian (Seychelle) and Erika Walsh. He was "Uncle John" to his three nieces, Emily, Megan, and Lauren Keller.
He will be laid to rest at Aiken Memorial Gardens.
