Burler was first married on 10/26/1934 to Arvin Arvil Mitchem, a son of William Thomas Mitchem and Ella Nola Davis Mitchem of Darlington, Walton Co., FL.
His siblings were: Bertha Nola Mitchem (m. Pete Megois & m. James Gustine); Icy Amanda Mitchem (unmarried); **Arvin Arvil Mitchem (m. Burler Louvester Alford); Thomas Aaron Mitchem (m. Effie Mae Jones); Harvey Ervin Mitchem (m. Norma Elaine Schofield); Theodore Roosevelt Mitchem (unmarried); Robert Junior Mitchem (m. Betty Lou Parrott); Elsie Eve Mitchem (m. Elmer John Markle); and James Roland Mitchem (m. Sarafenia Fronterio).
Burler and Arvin were parents of the following six children:

5. Charlie Union Mitchem b. 11/15/1944 d. 10/9/2004 Walton co., FL (m. Bernice Mae Adkinson; and
6. Wendell Arvin Mitchem b. 11/8/1949 (m. Debrah Kay Lenington).
After the death of Arvin Arvil Mitchem, Burler married a second time to Fred Collinsworth. They made their home at Darlington, FL. There were no children born to Burler and Fred Collinsworth.
Burler was survived by her children and spouses above-named and by 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Burler was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a beautiful Christian lady and had a warm and loving spirit that drew many friends to her. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
