Bertha was born March 15, 1942 in Louisiana, Missouri to James Edward and Dora Mae (Darnell) Chandler.
She was united in marriage to Robert William Kemry Sr. on March 18, 1960. He preceded her in death.
Bertha grew up in Louisiana, Missouri on Riverview Road and attended Louisiana High School. After graduation, Bertha and William married and eventually ended up in Ashley, Missouri to raise their family.
Bertha was a member of One Way Ministries Church. Over the years, Bertha was employed with Sunset Nursing Home, Smith-Barr Nursing Home, and Country View Nursing Home as a nurse's aide and med tech, until her retirement in 2015.
Bertha enjoyed being outside and keeping her yard nice.
She enjoyed fishing and fish fries.
Bertha also enjoyed traveling, working puzzles, and crocheting, but she loved nothing better than spending time with her family.
Bertha is survived by children Robert William Kemry Jr. (Donna) of Vandalia, Deanna Griffin (John) of Louisiana, Leslie Kemry of Bowling Green, and James Edward Kemry (Cathy) of Louisiana; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Lee Owens of Porum, Oklahoma; and brother, Sam Chandler of Curryville, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Lisa Overrien; granddaughter, Jamie Lyn Griffin; brothers Edward, Pete, Harvey, Henry, Jim, Charlie and Woody Chandler; and sisters Cecil Trout, Maggie Niffen, Marry Williams, Dee Suddarth, and Maude Wilson.
