PHILLIPS, Rev. DILLARD – 1910-2001 – 91, formerly of Scott County, passed away on Monday night, December 10, 2001, at the McKendry Village Nursing Home in Nashville. He was the son of the late GENERAL PHILLIPS and ALICE CROSS PHILLIPS and was also preceded in death by his wife, ORIE MAE PHILLIPS; and several brothers and sisters. Rev. PHILLIPS was a Baptist minister and a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Clinton. He is survived by five sons, GENERAL LEE PHILLIPS and wife LORETTA of Colorado Springs, Colo., BILLY JOE PHILLIPS, CHARLES C. PHILLIPS and wife HELEN, and ROBERT H. PHILLIPS, all of Clinton, and RUFUS D. PHILLIPS and wife CAMILLE of Brentwood; two daughters, BETTY JEAN TEDDER and husband BEN of Kingston, and PEGGY PHILLIPS of Clinton; several grandchildren,; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 14, at 12 noon at West-Murley Funeral Home, with Rev. HERTIS PHILLIPS and Rev. CHUCK DUNCAN officiating.
