Lloyd A. King, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, at his home, one day before his 66th birthday.

Born Jan. 23, 1957, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Lloyd E. King and Dona A (Deeg) King. He was also preceded in death by his spouse of 31 years, C. Clay Satterfield.

He is survived by his siblings, Ruth A. Evans-Fultz (James Fultz) of Bellefonte, Wade E. King (Teresa) of Reedsville, Ronald L. King of Lexington, NE and his twin sister, Rev. Laura E. King of Woolrich. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Rascal.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Bea King, and his nephew, Ruben J. Evans.

Lloyd was a graduate of Kishacoquillas High School and Empire Beauty School. He was a hairstylist for over 45 years in Texas and in Pennsylvania, owning his own salon in Reedsville for several years. He also obtained his instructor's license from Empire. Lloyd loved the Lord and served as a certified lay speaker and spiritual director. He had a beautiful voice and sang in church choirs, community choir, and as a soloist. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lewistown.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at First United Methodist Church in Lewistown, with Reverends Karen McCachren and Rick Bender officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Salem Cemetery.

Lloyd loved all creatures great and small. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent. To Rescue Our Furry Friends (ROFF), at PO Box 6, Lewistown, PA 17044.

Arrangements are under the care of Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
