John and Mary had 11 children (9 boys and 2 girls) all of whom are listed along with their birth dates in the Plainfield Town Clerk's office, Plainfield, Connecticut, Vol I, Page 146. These records can now be verified on line via the CTGenWeb project, Barbour Collection.
John is the brother of Robert Wilson/Willson who moved to Nine Partners, Dutchess County, NY, now Amenia, NY. John and his brother Robert Wilson are found selling land they co-owned in records of 1755 Plainfield, Windham County, Connecticut.
Reference to the Wilson Family can be found in the "Annals and Recollections of Oneida County" by Pomeroy Jones (1851) Chapter XIV, MARCY which is second hand information, some of which is inaccurate such as the date of John and Mary's marriage which correctly was 1737 in County of Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Most of the above information is referenced in the book Willson Wilson and Allied Lines by Clotilde Wilson Blower Dunedin, Florida 1972. The book was written by my husband's father's cousin, research was also aided by his aunt Lucy.
