She was born in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Stanton and Lilly Nell (Trueblood) Jones. She was a lifelong resident of McAlester and married Leon Baker on Feb. 15, 1964, in McAlester. She worked at Will Rogers Elementary School and retired from there after many years as office secretary. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, shopping, going to Las Vegas and spending time with family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith. She passed away at her home in McAlester at the age of 62. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanton Jones; maternal grandparents, Harold and Ollie Trueblood, and paternal grandparents, Stanton M. and Naomi Jones.
