Noonan served with Com. K Unit 18 GA Rowland Inf. He joined in 1862 and was captured in one of the earlier battles at Atlanta. He also fought in Cold Harbor, VA. On June 1, 1864. he was sent to Point Lookout in MD, and Elmira prison in New York and released there July 11, 1865.
