Born on February 21, 1942, in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter Pawlus and Jenny (Walsh) Pawlus.
Bernice owned and operated B&B liquor for many years. She was known as Ms. B from some of her favorite customers.
After retiring she enjoyed traveling, golfing, and playing pinochle with her siblings. Bernice was an avid gardener and loved planting flowers. Her flower boxes were always planted with beautiful red geraniums. In the fall, her house always smelled like her famous chocolate chip cookies. Her Christmas platters were to die for.
She is predeceased by one sister Ann Bunk, three brothers, Arthur Pawlus, Walter Pawlus and Richard Pawlus. Granddaughter; Karilee Giglio, Grandson; Jesse Giglio and a Great Grandchild; Magnolia Giglio.
Survivors include her longtime sweetheart Jack Duffey who she adored. A son Anthony Giglio and his wife Christine of Galway, NY, two daughters Ginger Klein and her husband Dale of Madison, NY and Jennifer Helenek and Rick Harrington of Gansevoort, NY, Jack's daughters; Jacky (Chet) Barnes, Polly Wilson, Wendy (Matt) Avila, Terrie (Steve) A brother; Joe Pawlus and his Partner Emily of Schoharie, NY and three sisters; Alice Spinelli of Greenville, NY, Arlene Yattaw and her husband Jim of Corinth, NY and Julie Murphy and her husband Chuck of Greenville, SC. Grandchildren; Robert Immel (Sara), Lindsey Wallace (Tarmel), Megan Andrews (Chris), Zachary Reynolds (Kelsey), Kelly Reynolds (Hunter), Azriel Klein, Sonara Klein, Dj Klein, Richie Helenek, Allie Helenek (Nick), Katie Helenek (Jordan), And several Great Grandchildren. Best friend; Karen Moakler, her dog; Lily and her cat Boots.
Bernice lived her life to the fullest and always was the life of the party. To know her was to love her.
