Clifton Floyd Foster, 95, of Indio, Calif. passed away October 16, 2010 in Cathedral City, Calif. of natural causes. He was born August 11, 1915 to Tevis and Minnie Foster in Hollywood, Mo. He married Wilma Beaton on September 5, 1934 in Duncan County, Mo. He retired from two jobs, first being Southern Pacific Railroad where he worked as a brakeman and Valley Sanitary District where he was a field supervisor as well as chief inspector. Apart from the love he had for his own family, Floyd and his beloved Wilma, shared their love and lives by fostering over 150 children. Clifton is survived by his daughters, Latishia Cooper of Indio, Paulette DiGiorgio of Roanoke, Va., Brenda Sue Dunson of Indio, and Claudia Negrillo of Los Osos, Calif.; sons, Bobby Foster of Indio, Calif. and Jerry Foster of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; sister, Vera Partlow of Indio; brothers, Virgil Foster of Palm Desert, Calif. and Leo Foster of Cherry Valley, Calif. In addition, he leaves behind 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Foster; daughter, Louanna Foster; sister, Ette Marie Kendell; and his brother, Gene Foster. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 PM on October 24, 2010 at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Indio. Memorial services will take place at 10:00 AM on October 25, 2010 also at Forest Lawn Indio. Interment will immediately follow the memorial at Coachella Valley Cemetery.
