Marvin A. Kay 82, died following a long illness. He was born in Richmond, Virginia on September 5, 1920 and moved to Jacksonville in 1947. He worked in the pawn business for many years, which led him to open Marvin Kays Music Center. He was a World War II Veteran and served in the Navy in the South Pacific. He was a member of Congregation Ahavath Chesed.

He is predeceased by his two sons Jerome and David. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Marilyn and nephew Jay (Cohen) of San Francisco who were by his side in the final days. He is also survived by his loving sister Mickey (Cohen) and her husband Phil and niece Phillis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. today at the Graveside in Temple Cemetery (Evergreen Gate 5.) Rabbi Michael Matuson will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hadlow Center of Community Hospice of Jacksonville or Congregation Ahavath Chesed. Funeral arrangements by: Hardage-Giddens.
