Douglas R. Green, 80, of Burkburnett, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023.
The family will receive friends between 4 and 6 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Devol, Oklahoma with Pastors Bobby Waitman and Justin Cardwell, officiating. Interment will follow at Devol Cemetery, Devol, Oklahoma under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
A son of the late E.W. and Josephine Joy (Wood) Green, Douglas was born on April 2, 1942 in Grandfield, Oklahoma. He served our country proudly in the United States Army, and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Devol.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Franks, and Mary Eady; and his brother, Jim Green.
He is survived by his loving wife, June Green of Burkburnett; his five sons, Randy Green and wife Belinda of Saginaw, Shane Green of North Dallas, Darrell Green and wife Alicia of Flower Mound, Bobby Sinks and wife Lori of Burkburnett, and Jason Sinks and wife Angelia of Collinsville; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two aunts, Judy Wood of Nashville, Tennessee, and Marie Tinsley of Devol, Oklahoma; his uncle, Jack Wood and wife Pat of Devol, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous close friends that loved him dearly.
