Motion Picture Director. He is remembered for his directing of low-budget films which featured international stars. His family fled to Granada, Spain during the Spanish Revolution. He entered the Spanish Cinema as a scriptwriter before become an assistant director to Nathan Juran ("The 7th Voyage of Sinbad," 1958) and Jack Sher ("The 3 Worlds of Gulliver," 1960). Among his notable directing efforts include "Bad Man's River" (1971, which starred Lee Van Cleef), "Horror Express" (1972, which starred Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee) and "Pancho Villa" (1972, which starred Telly Savalas.
