Per Kingston Daily Freeman, Kingston, NY, Tuesday evening, September 1, 1936:

Harry Edison Fields, of 411 Albany avenue, manager of the United States Lace Curtain Mills here for the past 35 years, died in this city Monday. Mr. Fields was actively engaged at his post until about a month ago, when illness compelled him to give up work. A native of Fredon, N. J., Mr. Fields came to Kingston when the lace mill was established here, managing the local plant since that time. He was active in Masonic circles and was a member of Kingston Lodge No. 10, F. & A. M., Mt. Horeb Chapter, Rondout Commandery, Cyprus Temple and Ancient City Council, Royal and Select Masters No 21. He was also a member of the Junior Order Untied American Mechanics of Brooklyn and the Sons of Veterans of Kingston. Surviving are seven daughters, Mae, Margaret and Louise Fields of this city, Fannie, wife of Harry Wallis of Kingston, Alice, wife of Russell H. Rogers of Wheeling, W. Va., Nellie, wife of Harry J. Marks, and Laura, wife of Harry J. Marks, and Laura, wife of Harry C. Marquart, both of Kingston, and six grandchildren. Funeral services are to be held at the home tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Long Island. Kingston Lodge No. 10, F. & A. M., will hold ritualistic services at the home tonight.
