Gerald White Allen, age 82, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022, at MS Care Center of Morton, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with a private interment in Brandon Memorial Gardens. A public visitation will be held from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm Friday, August 12, 2022, at the funeral home.
Mr. Allen was born on August 30, 1939, to William Henry Allen, Sr. and Lida White Allen. He was married to Evelyn Cliburn Allen. He worked many years as a pharmacist serving clients in Brandon and Jackson, MS. Mr. Allen was a longtime resident of Brandon, MS. He will be remembered by his family as a kind and gentle soul. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Cliburn Allen; parents, William Henry Allen, Sr. and Lida White Allen; brothers, Albert Allen, and William Henry Allen, Jr.; and stepdaughter, Peggy Means.
Mr. Allen is survived by his nieces and nephews, Brett Allen (Kay), Beverly Allen Sharpe (Thomas), Amy Allen Butler (Joe), Noel Allen (Suzanne), Elise Allen Bourgeois (David), Mark Allen, and William Henry Allen, III (Rosemary); son-in-law, Ronnie Means; step grandchildren, Andrea Morgan (Marty), Tiffany Means, and Justin Means (Jill); 6 great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
