Rita Carrol Hack was born August 7, 1944 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Harmon Luther and Freeda Marie (Pendley) Blaylock. She completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, with her family, Pastor Randy Southerland and friends at her side.
The family will greet visitors on Sunday, January 22, between 2:00-4:00P.M. Services are planned for Monday, January 23, at 1:00P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church West with Pastor Randy Southerland officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Dickie Fennel, Mike Wilson, Wayne Hack, Danny Hack, Logan Biffle, and Sammy Vanderburg. Interment will be in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.
Rita graduated from Duncan High School in 1962. She married Alvin Hack on June 8, 1962 in Trinity Baptist Church in Duncan. Their family was completed with the births of two children - Jeff and Stefanie. She was employed as a pharmacy tech for R&S#3.
She was very active in her belief. As a member of New Hope Baptist Church West, she loved the Lord and you knew it beyond a doubt. She loved shopping, gardening, and songbirds. Summertime was her favorite season and she loved spending time in the pool. Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Preceded in death by her parents, Rita is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alvin; her children: Jeff and wife Christie Hack of Marlow, Stefanie Biffle of Duncan; grandchildren: Tori Hack, Lexi Hack, Gabby Hack, Lindsey Green, Mallory and husband Sammy Vanderburg, Logan and wife Maci Biffle; and great-grandchildren: Sarah Vanderburg, Chance Vanderburg, Liam Biffle, and one (boy) due in March. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Blaylock of Duncan, and niece, Michelle and husband Don Owens.
