Mrs. Pattie Lou Fobbs, 76, of Battleboro, North Carolina, died on December 26, 2014 Battleboro, N.C.
Mrs. Pattie Lou Lynch Fobbs was born on April 24, 1938 in Halifax County, North Carolina to the late Abraham and Flossie Lynch. She departed this life on December 26, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and neighbor.Pattie joined the Ivory Hill Baptist Church as a child and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. She loved her church and was a lifetime active member.

Pattie was educated in the Halifax County Schools as a child. She learned her hard work ethics and her caring spirit at an early age in the Medoc Community.Pattie married Elijah Fobbs, Sr. in 1959, and to this union there were five children born.She was employed with K&W Cafeteria for nearly twenty-five years. She stopped working to be the primary caregiver for her mother-in-law. She cared for Bertha Fobbs until her death in 1996. Shortly thereafter in 1998, Pattie would have to deal with her own health issue. She was diagnosed with cancer and she fought it for over sixteen years. Throughout her fight she never claimed the cancer, nor did she ever lose her faith in God that she would be healed. All of her doctors in Rocky Mount and Chapel Hill were amazed at her faith and her strong will to fight. She never gave up or doubted that God would heal her body.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Abraham Lynch, Jr., two sisters-in-law, Myrine Lynch, and Lola Fobbs; one brother-in-law, Willie Fobbs.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory; her husband of fifty-five years, Elijah Fobbs, Sr. of the home; one daughter, Pattie Ruth Richardson (Sam) of Hollister, NC; four sons, Elijah Fobbs, Jr. of the home, Jimmy Fobbs of Benson, NC, Donald Earl Fobbs (Cookie) of Battleboro, NC, and Charlie Fobbs (Bridgett) of Garner, NC; one stepson, Arthur Young (Elaine) of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Jimmy Lynch (Lula); three sisters, Marganer (Simon), Pollie Silver, and Flossie Lynch all of Enfield, NC; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Fobbs (Marilyn), and Phillip Fobbs (Frances); one sister-in-law, Bertha Fobbs (Zeno) all of Washington, DC; a special sister-in-law, Minda Battle (Joseph) of Rocky Mount, NC; two grandchildren, Marissa Fobbs of Pittsburgh, PA, and Samuel Austin Richardson of Hollister, NC, seven step grandchildren, four step great grand-children, a very special friend and prayer warrior, Ms. Shirley Mann along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Visitation for Mrs. Fobbs will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Ivory Hill Baptist Church; 4505 Medoc Mountain Road, in Enfield, N.C..

The Interment will take place immediately after the service in Ivory Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Enfield, N.C.
