Daniel was born February 18, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of William and Alice (Sharkey) Menzies. He was educated in Brooklyn and later, served his country in the US Army from 1954 to 1957. He worked for A.D.T. Home Protection as a manager before retiring. He moved to the Delanson area to be closer to family. He enjoyed riding motorcycle in his younger years, watching TV, feeding birds, snacking, and spending time with his canine companion, Romeo.
Survivors include his children; Daniel (Regina) Menzies, Jr. of Esperance, Laurice (Anthony) Sinatra of Delanson and Sharon Menzies of Delanson, 6 grandchildren; Brandi Menzies, Tiffany Mueller, Caitlin Menzies, Daniel Menzies, III, Anthony Sinatra, Jr., and Stephen Sinatra along with his siblings; Edward Menzies, David Menzies and Catherine Grenier and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers William and John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 20th with interment in Grove Cemetery, Quaker Street.
