ROLAND HENRY SCHRIVER
January 6, 1938 - January 15, 2023

Age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

He was born on January 6, 1938, in Gettysburg, PA to the late Elmer and Evelyn (Bream) Schriver and was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia A. Schriver.

Roland was a 1960 graduate of Penn State University and was then commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army until 1963.

He started his professional career as an Auditor with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co, served as Vice President and Controller at Allegheny International, and retired from Washington & Jefferson College as Controller in 2003.

Roland was a member of Center Presbyterian Church since 1975 and served as Elder, Trustee, and auditor, and was also a member of the choir and Retired Reserves. Prior to his illness, Roland enjoyed traveling the world with Nancy and family, cheering on the Nittany Lions, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Roland leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife and best friend of 56 years, Nancy (Kadel); their children, John Schriver, Marjorie Schriver, and Kimberly Schriver (husband Chuck Lang); grandson, Jeremy Schriver (Alice); and two great-grandchildren.

The family thanks the staff of Friendship Village, particularly Sharon Davis and Anna Marie O'Hare, for their extraordinary care and compassion.

Friends will be received on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211).
