She was originally buried on the Gilliam family farm owned by her and her husband. The cemetery eventually became known as the Gilliam Rhodes Cemetery. Her actual burial location in the Gilliam Rhodes Cemetery is unmarked.
In recent years a cenotaph has been erected at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery at Westmoreland, Sumner County, Tennessee for Frances and her husband, James Gilliam. Their bodies were not moved. See also memorial #212197671.
