Elkmont, AL - James Polk "Peanut" Thomas, 81, of Elkmont died Saturday at his home.
The funeral is today at the Ardmore Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Billy Turner and Steven Wright officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore, AL.
Mr. Thomas was a lifelong resident of Limestone County and an avid fox hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Thomas; a son, Kenneth Thomas of Decatur; a daughter, Barbara June Simpson of Elkmont; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
