Born March 17, 1912, in Monroe Township, Clarion County, he was a son of William and Sarah Everage Curll. Mr. Curll was a veteran of the Army, having served state-side during World War II. He was member of Monroe Chapel United Methodist Church near Reidsburg and was also a charter member of the former Sligo Saddle Club. He enjoyed horses. Mr. Curll retired from PennDot in 1974 after 27 years of service.
He was married July 23, 1932, to the former Marjorie L. Over, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Max (Barbara) Runyan of Clarion and Mrs. David (Bonnie) Cyphert of Clarion RD3; two sons, Eugene Curll of Clarion and Jacque Curll of New Kensington; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Maybelle McElravy and Bernadine Curll; and one brother, Lemoyne Curll.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Getschman, pastor of Monroe Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Churchville Cemetery near Curllsville.
