Born Wayne Gino Odjick, he made his initial imprint on the ice during his years with the Laval Titan in the Quebec Junior Hockey League. During his career, he earned a reputation as an enforcer, as he racked up a significant amount of penalty minutes. He produced a career-high 16 goals, with 13 assists during the 1993-1994 season, as a contributor to the Vancouver team which reached the Stanley Cup Finals. In 605 career regular-season games, he compiled 64 goals and 73 assists. In 2014, he was diagnosed with a disease known as AL amyloidosis and succumbed to complications.
