Emma Gertrude "Trudy" Williams is the daughter of Russell Truman Williams Minnie Louise Trundle She married Dwight Lewis Carroll on 1 September 1946 at the Peavine Parsonage in Walker County, Georgia. They had five children; Brenda Lynn Carroll, Martha Desiree Carroll, Dwight Lewis Carroll, Jr., Stephen Elmore Carroll, and Rodney Allen Carroll, Sr.
Emma "Trudy" Williams Carroll, age 87, of LaFayette passed away Wednesday,
January 10, 2018.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Day and Desiree Scott both of LaFayette; sons, Dwight (Angie) Carroll Jr., and Steve (Sue) Carroll both of Cedar Bluff, Ala., and Rodney (Karen) Carroll of Flintstone; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; sisters, Leola Colbert and Jeanette Wilbanks both of Ringgold; brother, Gene Williams of Dutton, Ala.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 4:30 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastors Fred Pursley and Shane Cloud officiating.

Interment in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are David Day Jr., Dwight Carroll III, Dennis Smith, Wade Smith, Tim Carroll, and Rodney Carroll II.

Honorary pallbearers are Alvin Hale, Lewis Rhinehart, and Jesse Carroll.

Visitation Friday from 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
