Tamra Taylor Christensen, our beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on January 14, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born on December 14, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Orson Eldridge Taylor and Veda Cameron Taylor. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She married Gary Richard Christensen, the love of her life, in November 1962 and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake temple in January 1999.

Tamra was a devoted mother of five children. During her many years of child rearing, she put her talents to use in a variety of projects. An excellent seamstress, she took pride in sewing many matching dresses for her two girls. She had a creative imagination for her children's Halloween costumes, birthday cakes, games, and parties. Many quilts were sewn, tied and given as gifts. She loved decorating a room and had a flair for putting things together in appealing ways. As a devoted wife she worked side by side with her husband Gary for many years. Having a head for numbers and finance, she kept records and books for their variety of business endeavors. She was an organizer and an excellent cook, preparing and serving many meals as part of their work together. In retirement Tamra and Gary enjoyed traveling, settling in his hometown of Monroe, Utah for a time. A loving caretaker, she attended to the needs of husband Gary for many years. A talented artist, Tamra as a teenager, did a large oil painting on a sliding door in the home she grew up in. Later, she began to use oils, pencils and pastels, doing portraits of people she loved with her natural talent. Ever determined Tamra, at the age of 66, decided to return to school and earned her High School diploma on May 9, 2006. She went on to earn a Dental Front Office Certificate in July the same year. She worked at a variety of places while completing her education. The most rewarding being LDS Family Services.

Tamra was a great giver, a humble servant; choosing to see the good in people. She was a comforter, a listener and a friend. Her kind, loving spirit will be missed every day.

Tamra leaves behind many loved ones. Daughter, Terri; Sons, Grant, Todd, and Derek, and their loving spouses, Lisa, Maria and Erin. Son-in-law Gregory Sharp. Her beloved sister Joyce and husband Gary. Grandchildren, Shawn (Elisha), Elisha Marie, Jordan, Aaron, Meckenzie (Cameron), Stockton, Hagen (Haylee), Attley, Ava, Sawyer, Hazel, Skylar, Sarah and Coda. Her great grandchildren, Tristen, Bram, Quinn, Kelli, Kai, Ruston, Barrett, and Everlee. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Gary, daughter Kellie Sharp, her parents, her sister Judy and brothers Gayle and Roger.
