During a beautiful sunrise on January 7, 2023, Jerry Williams, 80, lost his battle with Alzheimers and COPD surrounded by loved ones at home. Jerry called Deer Park his home for the last many years, although was also in Spokane, Ritzville, and Yakima Valley for the better part of 40 years. He was born in Yuma, Colorado, on December 8, 1942, to Lee and Grace Williams, the youngest of three other siblings. His sister, Connie Newbanks, is the last living relative and still resides in Yuma. Jerry was raised on cattle ranches. Other than the 4 years he spent in the Air Force, he cowboyed in New Mexico, California, Kansas and Oklahoma. Jerry's military career took him to 14 different countries and he worked directly with NATO. Most of his time was spent in the Congo.

In 1977, he met his wife, Barbara who, as he said "brought him to town and curried him below the knees" where he began his career as a real estate review appraiser. Together they had a daughter, Jeri Sue Williams and son, Bobby Barr. There is one grandson and two great granddaughters. Jerry loved the outdoors and was the happiest in nature and on boats. He never met a stranger and was ready to go have fun anytime! In earlier years, Jerry was on the transport team for NW Boxer rescue, Wigglin' Home Boxer rescue and MustLuvBoxer Rescue.

A memorial will be set later in the Spring with final burial at the Veteran's Cemetery in Medical Lake. In lieu of flowers please think about donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation or MustLuvBoxer Rescue.
