Jo Ann Carter, of Harrison, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at her home. She was 64 years old.

The daughter of Benny Joe and Anna Belle (Marshall) Matlock was born on July 18, 1958 in Fresno, California.

Jo Ann worked as a receptionist in the Radiology Department at NARMC for over 20 years. She was also a licensed cosmetologist. Jo Ann enjoyed camping, spending time with her grandkids, family, and friends, and taking photos, especially at family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her father, Benny Matlock; one son, Jeffrey Carter; and one brother, Ted Matlock.

Survivors include her husband of over 50 years, Jimmy Dale Carter; one son and his wife, Justin and Angeline Carter; her mother, Anna Belle Matlock; one brother and his wife, Benny and Tina Matlock; two sisters and their husbands, Clersie and Mike Hill and Dora and Bach Herring; seven grandchildren, Kayla Butler and her husband, Seth; Ashley Carter, Bailey Carter and his wife, Sabrina, Ethan Carter and his wife, Brooklyn, Chance Carter, Tristen Pritchett, and Brayden Carter; three great grandchildren, Adalee Butler, Brinley Carter, and Lincoln Beisner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Monday, January 16, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison from 4:00 to 6:00 PM

Funeral service is Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. Brent Fisk will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bailey Carter, Ethan Carter, Chance Carter, Brayden Carter, Michael Hill, and Brandon York.
