Rebecca was a graduate of Brookville High School. She graduated from the Indiana School of Nursing in 1956. Over the years she worked as a nurse in three different hospitals, a floral designer for Woodring's Floral Gardens as well as a Broker/REALTOR for the family company, Corman Associates. She was most proud of her work as a Political Consultant working with candidates running for offices from local school board, county commissioner, state House of Representatives, state Senate, Governor of Pa, US Senate, and President of the United States. Everyone knew if you wanted to win the "T" in PA, you needed to have Becky on your team!
She is survived by her four children, Katherine E. Erlichman, her husband, Edward, of Bedford, Melissa A. Sieg, her husband, William, of Mingoville, Jacob D. Corman, III, his wife, Kelli, of Bellefonte, and Kevin T. Corman, and his wife, Dawn also of Bellefonte; 15 grandchildren: William J. Sieg, Amanda C. Davis, Tyson J. Settle, Dallas J. Settle, Adam E. Erlichman, Sara R. Erlichman, Matthew D. Erlichman, Bella S. Corman, Davis T. Corman, Jacob C. Corman, Sabrina M. Corman, Landen J. Corman, Asa M. Corman, Zariah N. Corman, and Amiyah L. Corman, and ten great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Wendell Davis, and Denny Davis, a sister, Molly Kirby, and a sister-in-law, Beverly J. Hickey.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon R. Settle; a brother, Robert W. Davis, and a sister, Rose Ann Neary.
Rebecca was a member of the United Methodist Church. Over her 87 years, she served the community in many ways. She was a Bellefonte YMCA director for 9 years and program director for 6 years. She was meet director of the State YMCA championship swim meet for 5 years. She was a past member of the Central PA board to Special Olympics and past director of the Bellefonte Area Chamber of Commerce as well as Past President of the Centre County Association of Realtors in 1987. She was a Past President of the Centre County Federation of Republican Woman, member of the Bellefonte Council of Republican Woman and elected as Delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1980 and 1984. She has also served on the Centre County United Way board and chair of the Pleasant Gap Methodist Church Food Bank.
Becky enjoyed the game of golf, winning the club championship at Nittany Country Club in 1969 and 1970. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her ladies groups in both Santee, SC and at Nittany Country Club. She most enjoyed, over all her years, spending time going to sporting and other events for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
There will be a public visitation held on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 5-7 PM, at Faith United Methodist Church, at 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 11 AM, at the church, with Pastor Adam Erlichman, her grandson, and Rev. Andrew Morgan officiating. Burial will directly follow the service at Centre County Memorial Park in State College, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
