Jazz Music Producer, Composer. Born Attilio Joseph Macero in Glens Falls, New York. He is best known for his collaboration with Miles Davis on such albums as "Bitches Brew" and "In a Silent Way". After attending the Juilliard School of Music, Macero worked for Columbia Records and produced for such music legends as Charles Mingus, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Charlie Byrd and Dave Brubeck. In addition to producing, Macero was an accomplished saxophonist and composed for numerous orchestras and symphonies. He also contributed to various movie soundtracks.
