MATTHEW JUSTIN GAINES SOUTH BURLINGTON — Matthew Justin Gaines, 4 months, passed away March 8, 2005, in his parents' arms at home, surrounded by his family and friends. Matthew was a sweet, wonderful baby and a special part of our family. He will live in our hearts forever. During Matthew's illness, he was cared for by the physicians and nursing staff of FAHC Children's Hospital and nurses from the VNA. We thank all of them for their kindness and compassion. We also send special thank to Drs. Hagan and Rinehart and their staff. Every family should be fortunate enough to have a pediatrician as terrific as Joe Hagan.

The family will be sitting Shiva at their home on Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. through 8 p.m. We welcome friends to visit us at our home during this time.

Matthew was the son of Joe Gaines and Robin Abramson. He is also survived by his big brother, Jason; grandparents, June and Marty Abramson; aunts and uncles, Wendy and Lance Cary, Ted Murin, Gary Gaines and Maureen McLaughlin, Scott and Macky Gaines, Jackie and Elliott Miller, Charles and Carole Abramson, Helen Avery and Patty and Paul Kissell; cousins, Mikayla, Gayle and Ross, Hayley and Matthew, Aaron and Alex, Rachel, Meghan, and Jeremy, Ryan and Krista, and Sydney and Chase.

Matthew was predeceased by his uncle, Michael Abramson; grandparents, Ruby and Allen Gaines; grandmother, Ruth; great-grandparents, Rose and Hy Brown and Ward and Bertha Merrill.

Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, North Avenue, Burlington. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
