Delores Hartness obituary:
Delores Detta (Garrett) Hartness went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family and her special angel here on earth, son Richard Garrett (Gary) Hartness.
Delores was born December 18, 1930 at Pershing to George Henry Garrett and Rose Modean (Wooten) Garrett. She married Richard Benton "Buddy" Hartness in May of 1950, a union lasting until his death on March 29, 2010. Her children were daughters Dixie Corbin (Kelly), RoseAnn Hartness (deceased), Vickie Moler (Eddie), sons Garrett Hartness and Rod Hartness (Ashley). Grandchildren include Kristina Walker (RJ), Ashley Grooms (Jon), Lezlie Knop (Kurt), Chere Corbin-Hindman, Tiffaney Thomas, Vanessa Wilson, Natalie Hartness, Kaleigh Hartness and Rope Hartness. She also had 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Delores was an outstanding homemaker. She sewed, baked, cooked, did needlepoint, knitted, ironed like a pro and every stain had met its match with her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Buddy, daughter, RoseAnn, sisters Loretta Millegan, Lerie Main and Nomah Hawk; brothers Orbin Garrett and Wayne Garrett.
Graveside services will be held Monday, October 16, 10:00AM, in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Mike McDougan will officiate. Interment will follow. Kendrick McCartney Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
