Lance Cpl. Drew Weaver was killed in action in Al Anbar province on Thursday, February 21, 2008. He was with Company C, 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5.

Dear Son of Brian (Judy Lee) Weaver and Diane (Michael L.) Spaulding. Devoted brother of Petty Officer Jeff Weaver and Tyler Spaulding. Cherished grandson of Wesley & Marilyn Weaver and Berdell and the late William Eilers. He was a loving nephew, cousin, friend and Marine

Weaver decided on the Marines shortly before graduating from St. Charles West High School in 2005.

Weaver's body was accompanied home to St. Charles by his best friend and fellow Marine Corporal Ryan Hansen and his brother Navy Petty Officer Jeff Weaver. A U.S. Marine honor guard escorted Weaver's body from the airport to the Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles, Mo.
