Eddie D. Lang, age 71, of Ellis, Kansas, passed away on January 8, 2023, at Good Samaritan Society, Ellis, Kansas. He was born March 18, 1951, in Hays, Kansas, to Syl Lang and Bernice (Herman) Lang. Eddie graduated from Ellis High School in 1969.

Eddie had worked at sale barns in Russell, Wakeeney, and Lacrosse as well as Cross Manufacturing in Hays. He also was a farmer and stockman. He especially enjoyed the cattle side of farming and would often hand feed the cattle. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis.

He is survived by his siblings, Floyd (Cindy) Lang, Mountain Home, AR; Danita (Paul) Fisher, Ellis, KS; and Rodger (Trena) Lang, Springfield, MO; nephews and nieces, Jayson Lang, Ja'net Lang, Cory Lang, Tyler Fisher, Cody Fisher, Brandi Sunderman, Dylan Lang, Whitney Haas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis, Kansas. Private family burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2023, 6:30-8:00 PM with a combined parish vigil and rosary at 7:30 PM all at St. Mary's Church in Ellis. Tuesday visitation will be 9:30 AM until service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Church, or Ellis Good Samaritan. Arrangements in care of Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis, Kansas 67637.
