Marion "Lee" Daniel, of Harrison, is now traveling the golden highway. He passed away at his home on Saturday, January 7, 2023. He was 78 years old.

The son of Fred and Roxie (Brown) Daniel was born on November 4, 1944 in Harrison, Arkansas.

Lee served our nation in the U.S. Army and served most of that time in Viet Nam. He was a truck driver by trade and choice. Lee put many millions of miles on the road. He was looking forward to being in the passenger seat with Jen and seeing this nation. Now he will see it from Heaven.

In his later life, Lee got into cattle and really enjoyed it even with the ups and downs. He was a very smart man, even though he never finished school. He recently said, "For not being an educated fellow I've done pretty good for a good old boy." Yes sir, you did. Lee will be missed by all of those that loved " that hairy legged truck driver."

He was preceded in death by his parents; his baby sister, Nancy Jane; his brothers, James, Jerry, and Donnie Daniel; his sister, Gladys (Daniel) Eddings; his brother-in-law, Roy Eddings; and two grandsons, Duke Shane Criner and Raymond Hutton III.

Survivors include his oldest brother, William Eugene Smith and his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Tina Vazquez; two sons, Nelson and Fred Daniel; the mother of his children, Eva Daniel; his special love, Jen Williams and her son, Bryan Williams; stepchildren, Lorna Johnson and husband, Doug, Raymond Hutton, Jr. and Tina Cikanek; 13 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
