Cecil G. Bowers, Jr., 82, Topeka, Kansas, died April 14, 2005 at his home.

He was born Nov. 3, 1922 at Topeka, Kansas, the son of Viola M. (Chandler) Bowers and Cecil G. Bowers, Sr.

He was graduated from Seaman High School.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps for 4 years during World War II.

He was a mechanic for Lewis Toyota.

He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

He married Lillian A. Eurich on June 27, 1955.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian; 2 children, Patricia Pearce and Thomas Liley; 3 sisters, Gleneda Setterstrom, Fawna Lewis, and Lucille Wells; and 4 grandchildren, Noel, Heather, Jeremy, and Drew.

Funeral services will be April 18, 2005, at Bethel Baptist Church, Topeka, Kansas. Burial with military honors by Fort Riley US Army Detail, will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Topeka.
