HANOVER Gladys M. Worley, 83, entered into God's eternal care Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at her home. She was the wife of Maurice R. Worley, who died November 19, 2003. Born in Westminster, Md., on March 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Mary L. Morningstar Lippy. Gladys served as a Secretary for the Principal of Hanover School District from 1943 until 1955 and for the Principal of South Western High School from August, 1959, until her retirement in October, 1982. She was a member of Hanover Church of the Brethren and graduated from Taneytown High School, Taneytown, Md., with the class of 1941. Gladys loved her family and will be sadly missed by her son, Donald E. and wife, Jeweley of Hanover; three grandchildren, Matthew Worley and wife, Michelle, Mandy Worley, and Beverly Worley; two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Joel Worley; and her sister, Cordelia Brengle of Middletown, Md. A funeral service to remember and celebrate her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. Viewing will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Pastor Geraldine Godfrey will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Brady, Jr., Randy Brady, Jonathan Brady, Robert Bossom, Lloyd Laughman, and Tony Baker.
