Jackie was a devout Christian who loved her family with all of her heart. She not only instilled her beliefs into her children but also demonstrated her faithfulness through her actions. Jackie was born in Collins, MS, graduated from Collins High School, attended Jones County Junior College, followed by business school in Jackson, MS where she worked as a legal secretary. She also modeled for local businesses.
Jackie worked from home prioritizing her family, then later found her business passion, owning and managing rental properties in Long Beach, MS. Her loving and devoted husband, Curt, her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will miss their "Jack-Jack" dearly.
We would like to thank our earthly angels and caregivers who provided amazing, loving care for mom, Sherry King, Jennie Philpott, Nancy Snider, Tonya Stuart, Angie Banta, RN. with Deaconess, Krista Miller, RN., and staff at Homecare Hospice South.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Sidney Sanford and Velma Flynt Sanford; two brothers, Bobby Sanford and Joe "Booter" Sanford; and two sisters, Era Dee Boykin, and Billeye Bell.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Curtis Uhlenhopp of Ocean Springs, MS; two loving daughters, Kimberly Stewart (Steve) of Oxford, MS. and Michelle Shell (Sherman Muths) of Ocean Springs, MS; three cherished grandchildren, Steven Stewart (Kenna) of Madison, AL., Brett Stewart of Oxford, MS., and Savannah Shell of Ft.
