He was born on May 15, 1949 in Denmark, Arkansas; the son of the late James and Opal Hendricks.
James was a good friend to all and was loved by many. He was a truck driver for most of his life, hauling gravel. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing and gardening. He liked to spend time with his friends and family. James played the guitar and loved playing Johnny Cash songs.
He was preceded in death by; his parents; his daughter; Jeannie Gayfield; his siblings; James Hendrix, Helen Mills, and Billie June Cavanaugh.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bradford Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Don Robertson officiating. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Internment will follow services at the Coffeyville Cemetery in Bradford, Arkansas.
