October 4, 1939 ~ January 3, 2023 (age 83)

Margie Burdett (Roudebush), age 83, entered into Eternal Life with her Savior, Jesus Christ, in the morning hours of January 3. Margie was born October 4, 1939, in Karns City, PA, to her mother, Agnes Roudebush, and father, John Roudebush, whom she loved dearly. She grew up surrounded by her two brothers, two sisters and numerous aunt and uncles, and cousins.

Margie graduated from Karns City High School in 1957 and loved music. She sang in the choir and played the trombone in the Marching Band.

At the age of 19, she married her sweetheart, Ron Burdett, (Kermie), and enjoyed 63 happily married years together. Though she never had children of her own, many affectionately referred to Margie as Mom.

Margie was a loving, selfless, caring woman, who spent her life thinking of others and sharing the love of Jesus wherever she went. She spent over 50 years in the ministry. In her early years, she was an active member of the Church Of God of Prophecy in Karns City, Pennsylvania, where she taught in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Youth Camps, and graduated from the Bible Teaching Institute in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Margie was an ordained minister of the Church of God of Prophecy, Cleveland, TN, and the Church of God of Andersen, Indiana, and served as the pastor of the Church of God in East Liverpool, Ohio for many years. She held many revivals and touched the lives of countless youth in the area. Margie was involved in prison ministry and visited numerous prisons in Missouri and Florida, and brought many prisoners to Christ.

She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

"Our Aunt had ears that listened, arms that hugged and held, a love that never ended, and a heart made of gold."

Margie is survived by her husband, Ron Burdett, of Calcutta, Ohio, and her sister, Joan Forsythe of Rimersburg, PA.

A memorial and burial service will be held August 5, 2023, preceding the Roudebush Reunion at the Hemphill Cemetery in Chicora, PA.
