She married Dale Peoples on March 12, 1958 in Plainview, TX . Lucy worked as a waitress for many years in Henryetta and was very active in the Nazarene Church and their Choir.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dale; Son Tim; Parents; Sister Louise Tiery and brothers Frank, LeRoy and Johnny Sims.
