THE PARIS NEWS, (Date of obituary not available.) ‘Walter Leon Anderson, 48, of 715 Cedar, died Monday, 22 Jul 1974, in a local hospital. He had been a Yellow Cab Taxi driver for 28 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Leverett and Steele Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. W.T. Dunn and Rev. N.W. Lowrie officiating. Interment was made at Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Anderson was born 22 Sep 1925, in Hughes, Oklahoma and had lived in Paris since childhood. He and Miss Peggy Warren were married on 21 Jul 1946 in Paris. He was a member of the Baptist Temple Church. Survivors include his wife; his stepfather, J.A. Cheannault; two sons, Danny and Gene Anderson, both of Paris; a daughter, Mrs. Scottie (Peggy) Nichols of Paris; and two grandchildren, Katrina Anderson and Bryan Nichols.’
Tombstone is inscribed, ‘Children: Peggy Pamela, Walter Daniel, Warren Eugene.’
