Arthur A. Rycraft, 71, of 715 South Street, died at 11:30 am Sunday at Mt Carmel Mercy Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. He had become ill a month ago while visiting a daughter in the Detroit area, and had been hospitalized since that time. Born near Dayton , he had spent practically all of his lifetime in Lafayette. Prior to his retirement in 1955, he had been associated for 20 years with the Fairfield Manufacturing Company. He was a veteran of World War-I and a member of the Dayton Presbyterian Church. In 1919 he married Marie Morrison, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Max E, Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs Glenn Larie, Ann Arbor, Michigan; and Mrs Alvin Miller, Livonia, Michigan; a brother, John, Lafayette; and two sisters, Mrs Ada Rohler and Mrs Bertha Reinecke, both of Dayton. Burial in Dayton Cemetery. Surviving are five grandchildren.
