PIC Norman J. Simonis, born Feb. 19, 1918, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at age 90.

Norman was a member of the Delafield American Legion Post 196, the Early Day Gas Engine Club and St. Joan of Arc Holy Name Society.

He was the loving husband of Irene (nee Nelson) for 65 years, and the dearest father of Shirley (Tom Dietenberger) Blecher, Patricia (Gary Brown) Marquardt, David (Katie) Simonis and Jerome (Lana) Simonis. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; his brother, Arden Simonis; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Chrisitan burial Friday, Aug. 8, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 120 Nashotah Road, Nashotah. Interment will be in the town of Summit Cemetery.
