Kattie Ann Amburgy, 65, of Mentone and formerly of Rochester passed at 5:56 pm, Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023 at her residence.

Kate was born on Sept. 13, 1957 in Warsaw, Ind. to the late Denvil "Lee" and Mary Louise (Meade) Yates. She married on Aug 27, 2005 at Warsaw, Indiana to John R. Amburgy, who preceded her in death on July 14, 2012.

Kate attended Tippecanoe Valley High School. She worked for Life Care Center of Rochester. She helped with housekeeping duty and assisted with games with the residents. She attended several area churches. She loved her family. She was very fond of her kids, grandson, and nieces and nephews. She was a collector of many things, but most recently Boyd's Bears. Kate also was a huge Colts fan.

She is survived by her sons Chris Miller and companion Tiffany of Upland, Nathan Miller and companion Sabina of Fairmount, and Timothy Miller of Rochester; grandson Hayden Miller of Upland; siblings Arthur and wife Lorene Yates of Warsaw and Carolyn and husband Arnold Shepherd of Warsaw; and step children Johney Amburgy, Corey Amburgy, and Rachael Amburgy.

Kate was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John, son Tom Miller (2000) and sisters Charlene Wogomon and Alicia Jean Miller.
