Polly Doolittle, 84, of Pomaria, died Monday, January 2, 2023, at White Oak Manor. Born on July 3, 1938, in Pomaria, she was a daughter of the late Bart Nixon and Helen Beryl Cromer Doolittle. She and her twin sister, Molly Doolittle shared everything in life. They both were graduates of of Monticello High School and the Newberry College Secretarial Program. They both worked at Cone Mills – Carlisle Plant for 42 years. For Polly, most of those years she was the administrative assistant to Ken Baldwin, and in 1992 when Ken and his wife opened B&B Florist, Polly began working as the florist bookkeeper. She loyally worked for them until her health no longer allowed. She and her sister were lifelong members of Enoree Baptist Church where they served in many capacities. Polly was most recently the church clerk. Molly predeceased Polly in 2015. Ms. Doolittle is survived by a special cousins, Philip Cromer, Benjie (Shannon) Cromer, Bran (Faith) Cromer, Conner Cromer and Blair Cromer. Funeral services were held at 11:00 am Friday, January 6, 2023, at Enoree Baptist Church by the Rev. George Leagan. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was held after the service at the graveside.
