GENEVA - Jean A. Strickland, 89, of Geneva, passed away peacefully September 28, 2009, at Geneva General Hospital.
A private memorial service for family members will be held Sunday October 2, 2011 at the Devaney-Bennett Funeral Home.
Jean would have celebrated her 90th birthday this Sunday.
In her lifetime, she was a mother to Jack Jennings (deceased), grandmother to Jordana Strickland Fulton (Deceased), and Great-Grandmother to Taylor Racicot, 18, Morgan Racicot, 16, Brooke Racicot, 15, Lauryn Fulton, 11, and Hailey Fulton, 9.
Jean has resided in Geneva since 2001 with her great granddaughters and Jordana's husband Jason Fulton.
She was a frequent visitor of Wegmans with her friend Ramona Perry and enjoyed dearly having such a beautiful friendship this late in life.
A note from Jason, "Grandma Jean has provided and cared for Jordana and my girls all their lives. I am blessed to have shared the last 10 years together. Our girls are stronger, more caring, and loving because of you. At our home on High Street we have laughed and we have cried. We have done all of it as a loving family and most importantly we have lived, and we owe that to you. With all of the love one person can give, you gifted yours to us and we are forever a better family because of you. Love you."
