Joyce Lee (Rolen) Booe passed away peacefully on December 21, 2022 in Denison at the age of 92. She was born to Anna May (Jay) and Swafford Rolen on October 31, 1930 in Bells, Texas.

Joyce was always putting others before herself, she was an excellent care giver. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mamaw and her family was her pride and joy. She had great love for her grandsons, but she had standards and expectations. She was a fabulous cook and chocolate pie was her specialty.

Joyce was a Christian and she loved her church, Faith Independent Baptist Church of Savoy. She was a people person who embraced new friends easily. She had a daily habit of calling friends to check up on them. Joyce adapted quickly to "smart phone technology" and gained a large Facebook following. She was also an avid sports fan and loyal to the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and later the Dallas Mavericks, hardly missing a game.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna May and Swafford Rolen; first husband, James E. Sinclair; second husband, Emory W. Booe; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Harper; grandsons, Chris Harper, Jesse Harper and wife Nicole; brother, Billy Ray Rolen; and numerous extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells.
